Welcome to the LVR Adventure Camp

The Lagoon Valley Rescue Adventure Camp is a youth summer camp host at the Ranchotel Horse Center. This camp is a 5-day day camp that starts at 8 am and ends at 2 pm. Students will learn a variety of skills including how to build a campfire with flint and steel, how to shoot a bow and arrows, and basic rock climbing techniques. Student will also spend the afternoons in the pool learning to swim with a life vest, how to properly end and exit a rubber raft, and how to paddle in a rubber boat. We spend the day teaching the students how to navigate our obstacle course and how to rappel off our rappelling tower. On Thursdays we take the students in the students to Lake Solano for an afternoon of boating. Fridays the students showcase what they have learned throughout the week in a team competition which invite all the parents to come watch. Summer 2021. Due to safety concerns related to COVID 19, LVR Adventure Camp will be a 2 day camp of 12 campers maximum and will only have elements from the ropes course. Unfortunately, that means no horses, no Lake Solano trip, no pool activities, no camp fires and no team competition will take place at camp. However, if this structure does well, then we plan to have more camps in August 2021 and over the weekend throughout the year! Please let us know if that sounds interesting to you. The only change to the obstacle course is that our zipline has been damaged and is out of commission for the foreseeable future. All other obstacle course elements remain and include numerous ground elements, a climbing wall, 2 climbing towers, multiple climbing/ascending elements and the rappelling tower. All helmets, harnesses, and gloves are provided, campers only need to bring a lunch.

COVID 19 precautions and additional information. Campers (vaccinated or not) *will not* be required to wear a mask at any time but are welcome to. Campers *will remain outdoors and will be distanced from each other at all times. The only exception will be siblings or if both campers have written permission from their parents. All LVR staff are fully vaccinated and will not be wearing masks during.
